Real programmes. Real impact. Here's what we've achieved together.
Zanzibar's first-ever U14 girls' football team — and a powerful example of what becomes possible when girls are given safe spaces, belief, and opportunity.
Founded in 2023, the Zanzibar Sparks became Zanzibar's first-ever U14 girls' football team — creating a safe space for girls of all abilities.
Through football and Purposeful Play, the girls built skills, confidence, teamwork, and leadership — growing together on and off the pitch.
Just six months later, the Zanzibar Sparks proudly represented Zanzibar at the Mondial Pupilles youth tournament in France.
Their journey helped shape WEZA's inclusive approach and inspired today's CHEZA Hub Programme.
